10 Reasons For Women To Start An Internet Business_63349

Starting an internet business is in my opinion, one of the fastest and smartest ways women today can make money. Here are 10 reasons for starting an internet business, and one reason why you shouldn抰!

1. Money. Pure and simple, we all could use a more of it. Whether it抯 to get out of debt, build a retirement, or just simply make ends meet. With the right guidance, an internet business can start generating income almost immediately.

2. Family. Let抯 face it Moms, a lot of you want to be home with your kids. A work at home job is great for just that reason卽nless you have to leave home for appointments, parties, or sales calls. Then you抮e right back to babysitters and being away from your kids. An internet business truly lets you run it from home.

3. Self Esteem. Many of us are so busy being Moms, and wives, and community members, we forget to forge something in our lives that reflects our inner selves. Starting (and becoming successful) in your own business can boost your feelings of self worth, and that makes everyone in your life a winner!

4. Community. Our communities that we live in are better off for us having started businesses. It provides good role modeling for our children, provides tax base for necessary programs such as police and fire, and a community where people exhibit pride and hard work is a better place to live for us all. Perhaps you will inspire more women in your community to start a business!

5. Tax Benefits. Most women who start a business at home are going to be able to take large tax deductions for their home business. Less taxes means more money in your pocket, and that抯 a good thing!

6. Work at Home Household Savings.Working at home means no expensive wardrobes. The average professional suit for a woman can cost over$150! Can you imagine NOT having to buy expensive work clothes anymore, and how much money a year you can save your families budget? Also, how much do you think a work at home mom uses expensive convenience foods and restaurant take out?

7. Flexibility. Because I work at home, I can arrange my schedule to be available when a child is home sick or heartbroken, for a field trip at school, or to just take a mental health day once in awhile and sit at a park and read. How many bosses would give you the day off to read?

8. Being in charge of your own business means you are no longer at the mercy of layoffs. Don抰 get me wrong, a home business can crash too卋ut at least YOU hold the reins and make the decisions, not someone else.

9. You determine how much you work, and how much you make. No more being paid less than you are worth, no more begging for a raise. If you educate yourself right, you can pretty much combine hard work + persistence=unlimited income.

10. You can sell your business later on down the line卛t抯 an investment! Build it large enough and successful enough, and many website owners have sold their sites for hundreds of thousands of dollars卆nd started out knowing very little about building an internet business.

One reason NOT to start an internet business?br />
DO NOT start a business to please anyone else. There is so much pressure on women today to do it all?many times we feel we are not successful unless we make a lot of money, are perfect moms, never gain a pound厃ou get the idea. Start a business for you, and your dreams, not to convince the world, or the mother in law, or your next door neighbor卼hat you can do it all. Running a business is not for everyone, but if you want to follow your dreams, work at home, and make a good income, starting an internet business is a great place to start.

ICELAND

South Iceland

As if Iceland isn't remote enough in and of itself, you'll have to hop in a car once you get to Reykjavik and drive for another hour to reach Hotel Ranga. Within The Ring of Fire in South Iceland, this log cabin-style hotel is surrounded by dramatic natural activity. Year-round helicopter tours explore nearby volcanic Mt. Hekla, and from September to April you can lounge in one of the geothermal hot tubs and watch the Northern Lights shimmering above. While Mother Nature has done some of her finest work in this area, crafting glacial lagoons and volcanic black sand deserts, getting away from it all doesn't have to mean leaving civilization. Powder white sand and clear blue waters surround a main villa and guest residence, crafted in classic Tahitian style. A dedicated chef is on hand to create dishes using local seafood and French techniques. This makes it easy to never leave your secluded stretch of beach. That said, there is plenty to do both on the island and a short boat ride away: lobster fishing, outrigger canoeing, snorkeling, ocean reef exploring and shark watching, to name just a few of the activities included in your stay. You can even visit a unique South Pacific vineyard in the middle of a coconut plantation. Click here for more information.

Guide To Decreasing Interest Rates_50138

Expert views on how declining interest rates are affecting savers

Record low interest rates could equal massive losses for savers this year. As The Bank of England offers the lowest lending rate in history, people are starting to wonder, what now?

The stock market crash pales into insignificance compared to the crash in interest rates, says independent financial advisor Philip Pearson of P&P Invest. This will directly affect income for savers.

Now and then

Over the past five years, interest rates have been on a rollercoaster. They rose to their peak last year, when the best current accounts were offering a return of 7%. This has now fallen to around 2.75%, says Philip.

Currently the best equivalent account offers 3.5% interest. So if you put ?,000 away, that s ?5 over the year, not including tax. Five years ago the best account averaged 5% interest a total of ?0 a year, minus tax.

The future

Some analysts suggest there may be a further series of interest cuts on the way, with rates not set to rise until mid 2010.

Philip agrees, saying: It s likely that interest rates will weaken during this year should the Bank of England move to further stimulate the economy. This will only lead to even lower rates for savers, with many accounts providing a return of less than 1%. This low interest rate environment may continue over a prolonged period should the world remain in recession.

Protect your interests

It s a good idea to take a pro-active approach towards your savings and seek advice in order to protect them against inflation over the long term.

Dennis Hall, of Yellowtail Financial Planning, adds that decreasing interest rates will have a significant impact on some of the most vulnerable members of society. Anyone who relies on interest, typically the retired, will have already seen a reduction in their income levels. This could lead people to adopt savings and investment strategies which put them at higher levels of risk.

People should ensure any money put into a bank offering higher interest rates, is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). This covers you up to ?0,000, if the bank goes bust.

There s still hope

Borrowers who are not on fixed-rate mortgages, however, are now reaping the rewards of lower repayments. And that extra cash can be used to build up your savings. Because of this, Dennis reports there has actually been a slight upswing in the amount of savings within UK households.

Five years ago, UK households were saving 4% of their income, he says. Then, at the height of the property bubble, when people were borrowing heavily, that fell to nearly minus 2%. We were spending more than we earned. But by the beginning of 2009, the savings ratio had returned to positive territory and was approaching 2%.

So there is a slight silver lining after all.

Easy Money .not._48960

Thought today would be just the same as every other morning but when I checked my Inbox I found out that I had won 2 international lotteries that I had no idea that I had ever entered and the family for some dead prince in Nigeria wants me to act as the next of kin and they will let me keep 10% of his net worth. With all this money coming in I am going to be living on easy street and never have to work again.

Anybody with an email address could become a victim in the ever growing outbreak of Identity theft, Nigerian scams, phishing scams, etc.... People fall for the scams because we are always looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. These scammers would make great salespeople because they realize that everything is a numbers game. I get so many emails from all these different banks asking me to click here and update my information. The scammers know that most of the recipients of these emails will never respond but if they send one that looks like its from CitiBank they know that anybody that actually has a CitiBank account will probably respond.

I've gotten email that have asked me to update my Ebay account, my Paypal account and my Chase Manhattan account. I know for a fact that I do not have an Ebay or a chase account. You would think that sites like Ebay, who have a 120 million registered users, would send an email to educate their registered users but Ebay says that they want no liability so they just let their users get scammed. Most of these people will only lose money while others will spend time in jail or have their credit damaged beyond repair.

If you check just your local news you should see many stories regarding the scams that are currently out there. If you are selling an item via Ebay or the classifieds and a buyer send you a check for over the payment price then chances are this is part of a scam, especially if they want you to wire the excess funds via Western Union. If you get an email about working from home collecting payments for a company and they say you can keep 10% then chances are you are involved in a processing scam. If you get an email about someone dying with no next of kin and they want you to act as the next of kin well do you remember the old saying "if it looks to be too good to be true then chances are it is".

Earthlink has came up with a web browser that will help you identify these phishing sites and I am sure that other companies have come up with something also. A lot of sites have cropped up in recent months that will help educate you on what's going on plus some of them will even offer assistance if you have become a victim. theres one called ScamSafe, another called Fraudaid, and my wife has one called idtheftnightmare . I cannot include the extensions because people then think I am promoting these sites which I am not.

Just keep in mind that there are no shortcuts in life. if you get a questionable email then please ask for the opinion of someone else so that you don't fall victim to a scam. also remember that most banks and credit card companies will not send your info via an email and if they want you to verify something chances are they will have you call them.
